Church of Felons
First released in 2016, Church of Felons is a documentary about four people in rural Wisconsin pursuing recovery, accountability, and redemption after addiction and criminal convictions. Their stories ask difficult questions about punishment, grace, and whether a life can truly change.
Directed by Jordan Mederich
Featuring Bill Chantelois, Dustin Wheeler, Brian Taylor, and Chris Lyman
The film helped give OCC a name we carry with humility: the Church of Second Chances. We do not celebrate harm or minimize its consequences. We celebrate the power of Jesus to forgive, restore, and make people new. Every person has sinned, every story needs grace, and no life is beyond hope. At OCC, we have seen chains broken, families restored, and communities strengthened. Nothing is too big for Jesus.
2026 marks the documentary’s 10th anniversary.
Viewer note: the documentary includes mature themes involving addiction, impaired driving, criminal convictions, and loss.
